Animal Shelter in Need of Help

This animal shelter needs our help.  Helping Strays - The Humane Society of Monroe County in Waterloo, Illinois is trying to build a new shelter.  Your vote can help and it won't cost anything.  Just go to      http://www.shelterchallenge.com/       and search for the shelter at zip code 62298.  Again, there are weekly prices, lets not give up, PLEASE VOTE!  Remember, you only need to use the zip code 62298 and hit search, VOTE, type in the scrambled letters (if they appear), hit VOTE again, and done!  It is great to see the help from the Netherlands and England,  You can vote from anywhere!!!

NEW WEBSITE

BIRD FAIR

Well, anyone who did not or was not able to attend the bird fair in Springfield, Illinois on Sept. 29th missed a great one.  This day was like the old days in the St. Louis area.  Great vendors from all around and great customers too.  Everyone was happy and I don't think anyone left disappointed.
All of the vendors from The Parrot Posse to Gabriella to Wholesale Bird & Cage and Toby's Toys had something for everybody.  It was good to see Bill from Blue Angel Aviary there and if you need nest boxes, Tiny Wings Aviary was there with a great selection.  There was so much there that the list goes on and on.  The club did a super job of promoting the bird fair and the space layout was in no way crowded.  People had room to move around and shop without being in someone else's way.  Vendors had plenty of elbow room too.  All in all, this was the best bird fair in the last couple of years in Illinois we have been too that was put on by a bird club south of Bloomington.  Kudoo's to all involved.
